The Big 2-1

1) When I first held my nephew (he was 8 days old), I knew that there was good in the world.
2) I think my mother is the most beautiful woman in the world.
3) My dad is my hero.
4) My brother may be an asshole, but I love him to death.
5) When I was in summer camp, I would sometimes sneak out during kickball (such a revolting sport...), head over to the local library, hide in the stacks, and read terrible Harlequin romance novels.
6) My first kiss took place on December 16, 2005 (yes, I'm a late bloomer, I know). I wish it had never happened.
7) The most traumatizing experience of my entire life, so far, was giving the eulogy at my grandfather's funeral.
8) After being on psychotropic medication for 2 years now, I sometimes wonder why the rest of the world isn't medicated as well (take that Tom Cruise, you prick).
9) I am a closet Dean Martin fan.
10) I've burnt myself twice with a lighter on purpose.
11) My grandmother was my rock and when she died she took a piece of me with her. It gives me comfort when I realize that she is watching over me and my family. (I have solid evidence to prove this).
12) At one point, I had an entire wall in my bedroom covered with 'N Sync posters. My parents had painted the entire room white prior to my obsession. One night, I realized how dark my room actually was and I tore down all the posters.
13) My best friend in the entire world is Tracy Shipe.
14) The one song I can listen to over and over again without getting sick of it: "Got to be Real" by Cheryl Lynn.
15) My first career aspiration was a player on Saturday Night Live.
16) My first crush was Darryl Richardson in the second grade. He himself had a crush on Jenni Oborne, a girl in the 5th grade who went to my dance studio. He actually dictated notes to her and made me deliver them when I went to dance class. After second grade, I never saw him again. Jenni is now a dancer in music videos.
17) I once trimmed my minge and attempted to bleach it blonde. Instead, it turned orange (a la Samantha in Sex and the City).
18) I love my scars.
19) I appreciate the space between my top two front teeth. Most people say they don't notice it, but to me, it used to be something that I always wanted to fix. Now, I could care less.
20) People always ask me, "Why are you so obsessed with Israel?" I always tell them that it is because on the country's beauty, Jewishness, yada yada. When in fact, I am so obsessed with it because it's the only place where people actually see me for me.
21) I know that no matter how much I put myself down, hate my body, etc., that there are people who both love me and appreciate me for all that I am worth (fat, frizz, and all).
