Thank you for Calling Dell! To whom may I outsource your call?

Funny thing happened last night. My Dell DJ which I've had since Friday, has some obvious issues. The DJ is supposed to have a battery life of 10 to 12 hours provided you keep it charged when not in use. Since I always have my cell on the charger, I seemed it would be only right to keep the DJ in the charger cradle when not in use. Done. So I bring it with me to class and work yesterday and after 5 hours the battery goes kaput. Not good.

So I call Dell and wait approximately 15 minutes. Not terrible, but obnoxious anyways. I finally get a human being: "Hello this is Phoebe, how may I help you today?" Now normally, when you think of Phoebe, you think of "Phoebe" from "Friends" or Phoebe Cates (if you're a fan of the movies "Gremlin" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"). But this Phoebe wasn't like any of the "Phoebes" I have mentioned above. This Phoebe sounds like she is in Calcutta, likes to eat dhar and alu gobi (both delish Indian dishes). Anyways, Phoebe is very helpful, nice lady, keeps reassuring me that Dell will send me a new DJ, etc. I had no worries because I know that Dell is reputable, yada yada. So she asks me, "Dell would like you to rate the service of this call from 1 to 9. One being not so good, and 9 being outstanding." So I say, "Phoebe, I give you an 8 and a half." She giggles and asks "Why not nine?" I respond, "I would have given you a 9 if you had chosen a more realistic name to give to your customers." "Understandable," Phoebe replies.

About a half an hour later I get an email from Phoebe at Dell, telling me to reply to her email if there are any other issues I need to discuss. The email is signed "Lavina Shatanadatadalalala (I dramatically added a syllable or two there)" otherwise known as "Phoebe."
