Yucky stuff.

My father, who, for those who are unfamiliar with his condition has Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease, about a week ago hit his head on the bathroom counter, which worried all of us that he mightt have disrupted the electrode implanted in his brain this April. According to his neurologist, if he had disrupted the electrode the effects would have been immediate. Other than an egg on his head, a couple days went by, and when I was home monday for Memorial Day, Dad was kind of sluggish. Mom took his blood pressure which was pretty low, and they gave it a night, and the next morning Dad was at the doctor with an even lower blood pressure, a fever, and a really nasty headache. The doctor and everyone kept telling him it had nothing to do with the bump; it's just a bad virus. After almost 4 days of high fevers and headaches, today was my mother's first day of work and my aunt took my father to the doctor's office, where the immediately sent him to the emergency room for observation. This was this morning, and I haven't heard anything since, but I do know that my Uncle Stu (G-d bless him) is sitting with my father.
All that's being done is blood tests and stuff without sending my father back and forth to the labs. Because of his past medical history they also thought it would be best for him to be under observation, just in case. I cannot tell you how freaked out about this I am. I know my father is going to pull through this fine, but it just hurts that I can't be down there with him. More news as it comes.
