Rock Solid

Today, I walked right into a wall. Not just a regular wall, but a wall of Jerusalem stone. The correct reply to this would be: ow. For those unfamiliar with Jersualem stone, it's off-white, very rough when not grinded smooth like in most synagogues, and the entire city of Jerusalem (under a special ordinance) is pretty much made out it. Pretty easy to find and not miss. Except today. On my afternoon walk to the cafe, I was listening to the wind, smelling the myrtle and lavender along the street, and not paying any attention to what was in front of me. BAM! Walked right into a wall. Luckily, I was able to make a recovery before the entire city of Jerusalem saw me on my ass (only 1/4 today). But not without completely skinning my right elbow. So not only do I have no skin on my elbow (lovely....), my legs, arms, and back are all peeling from my weekend in Tel Aviv. I look like a four year old who fell off her bike. Can't wait till the birthday pictures come out!!!
