Anonymous Purchasing Through Amazon.com, I Wish

A buddy of mine is celebrating her 21st birthday and in preparation for her birthday has set up a wish list through Amazon.com. Being an avid collector of horror movies, especially direct to video, many of the films on her wish list I had never heard of. I cam across on her list "Shark Attack 3: Megalodon." Obviously, a pinnacle of film catastrophes, I clicked on the link to purchase. Used gently copies were available for something like $5.00: my kind of gift. Out of curriosity, I visited imdb.com to see who was in this film (with the exception of Captain Jack from Doctor Who, no one) and who had directed it.

Now I had talked to my sister-in-law awhile ago about a film school friend of hers who had actually directed the first "Shark Attack" with Casper Van Dien, also a runaway hit. Dialogue was not this dude's cup of tea.

Cataline Stone: [sigh] I'm exhausted.
Ben Carpenter: Yeah, me too. But you know I'm really wired. What do you say I... take you home and eat your not a nice word.

Yeah, definite Oscar potential.

***Photo: Netflix. Why the hell they would supply something like this is beyond me.
